QB — Reorder account list in Banking center
Do you have multiple bank accounts and credit cards set up in QuickBooks to synch online? Do you have more than 5? More than 10? Overtime a business will grow and often that means adding new accounts. When you go in to review the online transactions in QuickBooks it can get a little confusing.
I find it’s very helpful to reorder these accounts in the QB Banking center rather than leave as is — which is first added is first in order.
Determine how you want to organize the list first — credit cards separated from checking? Or maybe all Chase accounts together with BofA at the end. You get to decide.
1. First open Banking — find it on the left side menu.
2. Click on the drop-down list icon next to you default first account displayed.

3. That will display your entire list of accounts set up to sync online. Scroll to end of list.
4. Click on Reorder Accounts link.

5. This opens a popup window with a list of all your accounts in the default order. Click on Top Right pencil icon to edit the list order.

6. Now this step can be a little tedious if you have a lot of accounts — but you only have to do it once. Click and drag the account you want to reorder. When you click and hold you can move up and down through list. When you see a blue link appear you can ‘drop’ that account into that position.

7. When you see a blue link appear you can ‘drop’ that account into that position by releasing the mouse. Don’t ‘drop’ the account until you see the blue line appear or the account will go back to its original position.

Try reorganizing your bank account list in QuickBooks online and see it doesn’t help you keep everything straight and efficient next time you do the bank sync match up.
