Do you ever feel frustrated when you are working on a new transaction in QB Online, but you need more information that can only be found in another QB window. You close your transaction, go find your information, then you need to go back and reopen the original transaction, losing valuable time.

It is a simple fix. And once you learn this one you will wish you knew about it years ago.

QB Online runs in a browser window. This works for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

Check out Duplicate Window instructions below.

  1. Google Chrome > Right Click on Browser TAB and select Duplicate. This creates a duplicate window where you can go find the information you need without closing your transaction (still open in the original TAB)

2. Mozilla Firefox. Right Click on Browser TAB and select Duplicate.

3. Microsoft Edge. Right Click on Browser TAB and select Duplicate.

Once you’ve opened the Duplicate window — play around with your browser options. Pull them apart and set them side-by-side. Check out this online article if you need instruction on How to move a Window
