QB Online — Essential Keyboard shortcuts
As a bookkeeper or accountant, do you find yourself creating and saving multiple bills and expenses repeatedly in a session?
If yes — would you like to skip all the mousing to the Save button? OR maybe you are reviewing transactions and you’re tired of finding the little “X” at the top right of the screen to close out.
For example, from a new bill window:
1. To save and close — use this keyboard combination > ctrl + alt + d
2. To view and close > ctrl + alt + x
Or let’s say you’re looking at a bill and you wonder if this is a typical amount for this vendor. Rather than close the current bill and navigate to vendor center — Just stay in the bill and search for the vendor. Wait — the bill window doesn’t have the magnifying glass search option available? But no worries.
3. To open search from any window > ctrl + alt + f
