Did you know that there is an easier way to move data in your spreadsheet? No need to first insert blank cells, rows or columns — cut and paste your data — making sure the formatting is correct. This is the old way.

Here is an amazing quick tip to accomplish the same action with far fewer steps.

  1. Make your selection, in this Example it is Row 18.

2. Hold down the SHIFT key and move you mouse to edge of selection box.

3. While holding down SHIFT key move your mouse cursor to edge of selection box. While holding down SHIFT click the Left Mouse Button and DRAG your selection and DROP it just where you need it. See highlighted data below.
