Apply conditional formatting to multiple sheets

  1. Apply formatting to first sheet

a. Select (highlight) cells you want to copy format

b. Click the Format Painter on Home tab

c. Click on target worksheet

d. Select cells where formatting should be applied

Change Formatting on multiple sheets at same time

1. Group worksheets

a. Click the 1st sheet Tab where changes will be made

b. Hold Shift key and click on all tabs that should be changed

c. Make changes to the first tab and all changes will be reflected on all other sheets

d. **Caution — changes will mirror on all tabs. Make sure and ungroup worksheets before making changes that are specific to one sheet.

2. Ungroup worksheets –

1. Right-click any worksheet tab in group and select ungroup

2. Or — click on any worksheet tab outside the group to unlink the sheets.
